Ken May

Ken graduated from the University of San Diego with departmental honors in 1981 from the esteemed university’s School of Business. While attending school full time, he also worked at Sea World as a marine mammal trainer including working with Shamu, the world famous killer whale.
Ken has been actively involved in local youth sports as a coach and board member for the Lightning Soccer Club and the La Costa Youth Organization.

Ken got into the family business in 1982 when he purchased Frank Insurance Agency in Oceanside from his father who was retiring. The agency became one of the more successful agencies in North County specializing in high risk auto.

In 1999, Ken sold the agency to work for a start-up general agency in Texas as the Senior Vice President of Program Management. In 2003, he decided to move back to California and open Ken May Insurance Services, returning to his passion.

Ken is a member of the Board of Governors of the Alliance of Agents and Brokers of California. He is also the North San Diego County Chairperson of the local meetings of the Alliance. He is married with three grown children, one girl and two boys. His daughter is a claims adjuster for a major insurance company in California and his sons are attending college.

Kim (Klatt) Stankiewicz

Kim graduated from Carlsbad High School in 2000 and from San Diego State University with a degree in finance in 2005. She started working at Ken May Insurance Services in September, 2004 as a customer service representative. She learned quickly and became a licensed producer in January, 2005.

As one of the eager, bright young stars of the insurance industry in California, Kim has become very proficient, especially in the areas of auto and property insurance and has counseled countless people as to their insurance needs. She hopes to soon offer financial services to our clients capitalizing on her educational background.

Prior to joining Ken May Insurance Services, Kim was a Department Manager at the Sports Authority in Encinitas and has known Ken since she was a young child. In fact, she played on the soccer team that Ken coached for 8 years and still plays arena soccer today with some of the girls she played with while attending Carlsbad High School.
